Casual / Part-Time | Shift Work
Sydney Health & Care Services (SHCS) is seeking Residential Care Workers to support participants living in Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes across a range of care needs — from low-intensity supports to complex care environments.
We welcome applications from experienced workers, developing support workers, and those new to the sector who are committed to person-centred, respectful care.
About the Role
This is a shift-based position supporting participants to live as independently and safely as possible within their homes. Supports vary depending on the participant and may include personal care, daily living tasks, community access, and emotional or behavioural support.
You must be available to work morning, evening, and night shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide respectful, person-centred support in SIL settings
* Assist with daily living tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
* Support participants with varying physical, intellectual, and mental health needs
* Follow Behaviour Support Plans and individual care plans
* Maintain accurate case notes and incident reporting
* Work collaboratively with team leaders, managers, and allied health professionals
* Promote safety, dignity, and participant choice at all times

* Open to learning and developing skills in complex care environments
Experience in disability, mental health, or residential care is valued but not essential.
Essential Requirements
* Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, Mental Health (or working towards)
* NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
* First Aid & CPR
* Drivers License and Access to Regular/Reliable Transport along with Insurance
* WWCC
* Police Check
* Ability to work rotating shifts (AM, PM, and Night)
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
