Are you an experienced commercial professional with a strong background in contract and financial management? KONE is seeking a Commercial Manager to join our team and play a critical role in safeguarding our financial interests, managing contractual obligations, and supporting project success across Australia.
About the Role
As a Commercial Manager, you will partner with operations teams to manage the financial and contractual aspects of our projects. You can be based at our Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne Office supporting the function across ANZ. You'll identify commercial risks, resolve contractual issues, support bid preparation, and ensure compliance with contract terms. This is a key role in providing training on commercial best practices and contract management.
Key Responsibilities
* Protect KONE's financial and commercial interests with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
* Review and negotiate contract terms, manage claims, and ensure compliance with obligations.
* Support dispute resolution and project close-out activities.
* Drive timely payments and mitigate bad debt risks.
* Support tendering teams in preparing accurate, competitive bids.
* Identify business opportunities through commercial insights.
* Support project teams with day-to-day commercial issues.
What We're Looking For
* At least 7 years' experience in the construction industry.
* Strong knowledge of project operations, financial processes, and contract management.
* Advanced commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
* Excellent communication and analytical abilities.
* Solid understanding of local laws and regulations.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
