- Salary $80,000 plus super

**The Company**:
An events agency that has a great team in Canberra and they are looking for a new team member to join their team as a Conference Manager based in Canberra or Adelaide. This agency has a sensational reputation in the industry for delivering some of the best conference events and has a great established team. We have been recruiting for this team for over 9 years and have placed Conference Managers and Coordinators in this agency.

**The Role**:
Working as part of a team, the Conference Manager has overall responsibility for the project management of multiple conferences, events and meeting projects over the course of each year. The Conference Manager will initiate direct client contact and be expected to pro-actively manage the requirements

of their clients and committees, liaise with suppliers and manage and deliver onsite event logistics. The Conference Manager reports directly to the Managing Director.

Key Responsibilities include;
- Manage a small team and be accountable for the daily tasking of assigned Conference Coordinators
- Management of all events, suppliers and contracts
- Assist in the concept design of the event program for a client
- Budget management of all events requirements and reporting of this
- Project management and sourcing of all suppliers for events
- Client relationship management from an operational perspective to ensure project is running on time and schedule operationally
- Management of venues and other parties involved operationally in organizing the event
- Management of registration processes & travel
- Current experience using EventsAIR conference management software and experience in setting up and managing the OnAIR virtual platform is preferred
- Ability to work from the office if located in Canberra
- Ability to work from home if located in Adelaide
- Ability to travel interstate for conferences and events
- Flexible and adaptable to work outside of core hours
- Be able to demonstrate an understanding of project planning processes, project management, and planning & setting workloads for Conference & Registration Coordinators.
- Effective teamwork and team management skills
- Excellent communication, presentation and strategic time management skills
