About The Role
Our client, a large and well-regarded industry leader, is seeking two experienced Accounts Payable Officers to join their supportive team on an immediate 3–4 month contract. One role will focus primarily on statement reconciliations and a range of ad hoc AP tasks, while the more senior position will involve end-to-end AP responsibilities, including month-end reconciliations. These opportunities would suit individuals who are passionate about accounts payable and enjoy contributing to a collaborative team environment.
The Responsibilities
This role will involve the following tasks:
* Completing accounts payable activities including raising purchase orders, processing of invoices and responding to supplier queries.
* Maintain supplier accounts and reconcile supplier statements.
* Investigate any overdue invoices.
* Complete ad hoc tasks on an as needs basis as directed.
* Month-end reconciliations.
* Ensure timely generation of weekly supplier payment files.
* Prepare AP related monthly balance sheet reconciliations and prepare weekly cash outflow forecase for supplier payments.
The successful applicant will have
* Proven experience within an end-to-end accounts payable role for 5+ years.
* A strong knowledge of statement reconciliations.
* Experience with ERP systems.
* Strong understanding of month end and year end procedures.
* Experience in mentoring, training and leading a team.
* Excellent communication skills and an ability to priotise effectively.
* Proficient with MS Office inclusive of Outlook, advanced Excel and Word.
* Elevated level of accuracy and analytical skills.
