About The Position
As a Senior Technician, Staging, you will provide Staging services across all Arts Centre Melbourne venues and other required venues. You'll work with internal teams and external clients, artists and presenters to contribute to the successful delivery of performances and events, adhering to OH&S practices and demonstrating professionalism at all times.

Variable-time ongoing position, approx. 25 hours per week.
Band $73,213.00 p.a. pro-rata
Your Skills And Experience

* Relevant trade qualification or higher at a recognised institution or equivalent extensive experience working within the entertainment industry
* Basic or Intermediate Riggers licence, Forklift licence, Fire Emergency Warden training, Elevated Work Platform licence and in-house equipment training relevant to the position are preferred
* Significant experience in stage crew work in large-scale theatres or multi-venue arts centres
* Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of technical theatre elements and equipment such as scenic construction, rigging, hand and power tools, manual and automated fly systems, chain hoist rigging and operation, truss building, bump ins/outs
* A proactive approach with the ability to show initiative and leadership from time to time
* Ability to work with a variety of internal team members and external stakeholders

The Production team delivers production services for ACM across Staging, Lighting, Audio, Broadcast, Wardrobe, Production Management, Stage Management, and Safety/Training to enable the safe and efficient delivery of events across all of our venues and spaces.
