WHS Manager

One of Australia's leading horticulture companies. Based in Melbourne's Northern suburbs, this company is leading the way in sustainable and responsible practices within their field. Due to an internal promotion they are now seeking a WHS Manager to join their team within vertical farming.
**Your new role**
As the WHS Manager within you will be responsible for leading continuous improvement across safety and employee experience. You will provide the business with thought leadership while being supported by a WHS Advisor.
Key responsibilities also include:
- Implementing and driving the Vertical Farming WHS Strategic Plan and Key Safety Performance Indicators into sites of responsibility.
- Partner and coach the local Managers in understanding and achieving their Key Safety Performance Indicators.
- Lead a program of internal audits and provide technical guidance to drive resolution of risks identified.
- Support Managers in monitoring, analysing, and investigating reported injuries, incidents, and near misses and ensuring appropriate corrective actions are taken in consultation with the Operations Manager and other Key Stakeholders to minimise risk
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Proven experience as a WHS Manager or minimum 3 years experience as a WHS Advisor
- Extensive knowledge of relevant WHS legislation, Codes of Practice and Standards relevant to the role.
- You will have worked within a blue collar workforce environment. E.g FMCG, Construction, Waste Management
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence change across a large organisation
