This role reports into the Lead Data Architect and plays a key part in delivering scalable, industry-standard data engineering solutions. The Senior Data Engineer is responsible for translating architectural designs into robust, production-ready data platforms while providing technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers.
The role works closely with business stakeholders and broader Data and Technology teams to design and implement data integrations and data models that support core business applications. It also partners with BI teams to enable reliable reporting and analytics solutions across the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:
* Implementing and leading data architecture decisions aligned with organisational standards
* Providing mentorship and leadership to data engineering teams
* Ensuring data solutions meet security, governance, and regulatory requirements
* Designing, building, and maintaining complex ETL pipelines for large-scale data processing
* Leading and contributing to strategic data initiatives and projects
* Collaborating with business stakeholders and BI teams to enable reliable reporting and analytics solutions
The Requirements
* Strong experience designing and developing data structures in Snowflake
* Strong experience building ETL workflows using Azure Data Factory
* Proficiency in data modelling and data warehousing concepts
* Experience with performance tuning, optimisation, data integration and migration processes
* Advanced SQL skills and proficiency in Python
* Experience with Microsoft Fabric is desirable
* Ability to create visualisations and reports using Power BI
* Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
