Spry Support Services Pty Ltd, operating as Spry Disability Support Services, is a South Australian disability and community support provider dedicated to delivering compassionate, reliable and person-centred care. Based in Smithfield Plains, the business supports individuals living with disability, aged clients and people requiring day‐to‐day assistance to maintain independence, dignity and quality of life.
As a registered NDIS provider, Spry Disability Support Services delivers a broad range of support services, including assistance with daily living, personal care, community access, supported independent living, respite support, life skills development, behavioural support, specialist disability accommodation and support coordination. The company works closely with participants, families and support networks to provide care that is responsive to each person's needs, goals and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting clients with personal care routines, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting and other hygiene‐related needs in a respectful and dignified manner.
* Assisting participants with safe movement, transfers and mobility, including the use of mobility aids where required.
* Providing day‐to‐day support with domestic tasks such as general cleaning, tidying, laundry, vacuuming, changing linen and maintaining a safe living workplace.
* Preparing simple, nutritious meals and assisting clients with eating or feeding support where required, in line with their care plans and dietary needs.
* Accompanying clients to medical appointments, community activities, shopping trips, social outings and other daily commitments.
* Encouraging and supporting clients to participate in recreational, social and community‐based activities that promote inclusion and independence.
* Offering companionship, reassurance and emotional support to clients who may be isolated, vulnerable or experiencing personal challenges.
* Assisting with grocery shopping, collecting prescriptions, running errands and completing other practical tasks that support the client's daily living needs.
* Monitoring clients' general wellbeing, behaviour and condition, and promptly reporting any changes or concerns to supervisors, families or relevant care professionals.
* Following individual support plans, behaviour support strategies, risk assessments and NDIS‐related care requirements.
* Supporting clients to build daily living skills, confidence and independence where appropriate.
* Maintaining accurate records of care provided, incidents, client progress and relevant observations in accordance with company procedures.
* Administering medication reminders or providing medication‐related support only where authorised and in line with the client's care plan.
* Assisting with respite, supported independent living and in‐home care arrangements as required by the participant's support plan.
* Promoting client choice, privacy, cultural sensitivity and personal dignity at all times.
* Working cooperatively with families, support coordinators, allied health professionals and other members of the care team.
* Following workplace health and safety procedures, manual handling requirements, infection control practices and NDIS Practice Standards.
* Providing occasional live‐in or extended care support where required and agreed, depending on participant needs and roster arrangements.
Skills and Experience Required
* AQF Certificate II or III in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, Community Services, Health Support, or a relevant field.
* At least 1 year of relevant experience in aged care, disability support, community care, personal care or a similar support role.

Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 plus superannuation per annum
Hours: Full‐time, typically 38 hours per week
