About This Role
We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our team at RAAF Base Amberley.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to work on the F/A-18F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler platform in the Modification and Deeper Level maintenance facility.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, modification, servicing, inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of aircraft systems, associated components, and equipment within their scope of trade qualifications, training, competency, and Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) authorisation(s).
Key Responsibilities
* Maintaining and modifying aircraft systems, components, and equipment in accordance with approved technical data and regulations.
* Conducting inspections, tests, and troubleshooting activities to ensure airworthiness and safety standards are met.
* Providing mentorship and guidance to subordinate technicians to develop their skills and knowledge.
* Liaising with Boeing, Commonwealth, and other industry teams involved in maintenance operations at Amberley.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics)
* Demonstrated sound knowledge of Aviation Quality Assurance (QA) procedures and the DASR 145 Aircraft Maintenance Regulatory Framework.
* Australian Citizenship
* High level of verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to obtain Australian Negative Vetting 1 security clearance
