In the role of temporary Principal Advisor, you will be part of a multi-skilled team responsible for stakeholder engagement and communications strategy supporting the delivery of the Transport Security program, whilst maintaining and building strong positive working relationships with current and future industry partners and stakeholders. The Transport Security (TS) program includes leading TMR's Protective Security Framework, administering the Transport Security (Counter-Terrorism) Act 2008 and facilitating the TS Precinct Program to prepare TMR and the surface transport industry against terrorism and related security acts by working closely with Commonwealth and State.
**Accountabilities include**:
- Lead the development of stakeholder management strategies, covering all impacted and interested TMR, transport operator and external party stakeholder whilst ensuring strategies and plans leverage existing relationships between stakeholders and TMR.
- Develop relationships with identified key stakeholders to share information and gather concerns and feedback on behalf of the transport security work program.
- Provide authoritative and strategic advice to the Director (Transport Security), departmental and industry stakeholders, and state and national disaster and security representatives on complex strategic policy matters.
- Develop and prepare high level briefing papers, reports, guidance material and/or correspondence, and where required deliver verbal presentations and briefings.
- Represent the team and/or department at forums, committees and working groups concerned with developing, coordinating, and implementing policies or projects consistent with Queensland's counter-terrorism and security strategic priorities.
- Identify and implement customer and business improvement opportunities.
- Contribute to a safe and healthy workplace by complying with Workplace Health and Safety legislation, codes of practice, standards and departmental policy and procedures and participating in risk management and corrective action programs.
- Other accountabilities and tasks as reasonably directed.
This position reports to the Manager (Transport Security).
