Summary of the Job
* The Clinical Midwife Consultant will assist clinical staff in providing contemporary, evidence-based maternity care and ensuring that clinical care aligns with endorsed procedures and guidelines.
* This role involves building a quality improvement and patient safety culture, providing clinical leadership, and assisting in the management of clinical incidents.
Salary Information
* The base salary for this position ranges from $132,562 to $143,924 per annum (Midwife Grade 7).
* In addition to the base salary, employees are eligible for a 12.75% employer superannuation contribution.
Job Description
* The Clinical Midwife Consultant will work to promote contemporary, evidence-based practice among clinical staff.
* This includes data management, outcome reporting, and assisting in the management of clinical incidents.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* A relevant tertiary degree qualification and registration/licence with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Midwife (RM) are mandatory requirements.
* A postgraduate qualification or current enrollment in a postgraduate program in a relevant area of study is highly desirable.
