Overview
You will work within Project Services West, Natural Disasters West team within the Regional Road Network Maintenance Branch of the Road Maintenance & Resilience division. The team focuses on delivering slope remediation projects primarily around Oberon and Lithgow LGAs.
Responsibilities
* Provide efficient and effective project and contract management services by ensuring nominated projects are developed and delivered to specified time, cost, quality and scope requirements that meet Government and TfNSW objectives.
* Lead the investigation, design, estimating and procurement processes for nominated projects to deliver required client objectives.
* Manage the development, tendering, awarding and administration of professional service, construction and maintenance contracts, controlling scope, managing contract risks and issues while fulfilling the role of a TfNSW Representative.
* Lead multidisciplinary project teams to drive and deliver project objectives and targets by modelling high-performance behaviours, including teamwork, initiative and flexibility, and develop less experienced team members through mentoring and coaching.
* Build and maintain effective working relationships and collaborate with customers, colleagues, stakeholders and partners to manage risk and influence sustainable outcomes through active stakeholder and community involvement plans.
Qualifications
* Tertiary degree from an Australian University in Civil or Structural Engineering.
* Previous experience working on large project sites and contract management.
* Experience in slope stabilisation and frontline construction site work.
* Valid White card, PWZTMP, Workers on Foot and a driver's licence.
Employment Details
Temporary Fixed Term foreground role until 30/06/2027; requires working from construction sites in Orange, Bathurst or Lithgow; flexible for weekends and 3 days per week on site, including weekends for major milestones.
