SESLHD is committed to enabling our community to be healthy and well, and to providing the best possible compassionate care when people need it.The SESLHD Aboriginal Population Health Programs Coordinator will lead projects to address the needs of the Aboriginal population as relevant to Population and Community Health (PaCH) services.This role is hosted by the Health Equity, Promotion and Prevention Service and will support collaboration of Aboriginal health initiatives across PaCH and other SESLHD facilities. It will work closely with the SESLHD Aboriginal Health Unit (AHU).Initial projects include:Harmonising social supports for Aboriginal clients and families across the district.Improving vaccination rates among Aboriginal people, especially COVID-19 vaccination.Supporting 'Housing for Health' initiatives for Aboriginal people.Assisting with outbreak investigation, emergency management, and operational research focusing on Aboriginal populations.These priorities align with the SESLHD Burudi Muru Yagu Aboriginal Health Plan and the NSW Ministry of Health strategies, including the NSW Aboriginal Health Plan and dashboard.Employment of temporary visa holders is subject to labour market testing and other conditions.All NSW Health workers must have completed a primary COVID-19 vaccination course approved by TGA, and booster doses are recommended.Proof of vaccination can be provided via AIR Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate.SESLHD values diversity and encourages applications from all backgrounds.Support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates is available.
