We're seeking a motivated and experienced Clinical Lead – Medicine to work for the Department of Health (DoH) at the North West Regional Hospital (NWRH), Burnie.
This role will require a successful applicant to work with the Clinical Director – Acute Medicine assisting with providing a high level of strategic leadership and direction, ensuring resources are efficiently utilised, effectively integrated within the hospital/service highest standards of service delivery are achieved in accordance with hospital/service policy directions, service standards and financial targets. In addition, the Clinical Lead will provide specialist general medicine care to patients attending the NWRH.
Servicing a population of approximately 116,000, the DoH North West has major sites located approximately 50km apart, the North West Regional Hospital (NWRH) and the Mersey Community Hospital (MCH). The Department of Health – North West provides both acute and sub-acute general medicine, and a range of medical sub-specialty services including a large outpatient service.
The Clinical Lead Acute Medicine NWRH will be responsible for leading the Department of Acute Medicine at the NWRH which includes a broad range of services:
* Acute and sub-acute general medicine
* Gastroenterology and Hepatology
* Respiratory
* Nephrology
* Endocrinology and Diabetes
* Geriatric Medicine
* Palliative Care
* Cardiology
* Infectious Diseases

Fixed term, full time, day worker (with on-call) position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as possible for a 3-year period.
