The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Financial Accountant to join a well-regarded and growing energy business on a 6-month contract. This role will play a key part in the finance team, supporting month-end reporting, balance sheet integrity, and business insights during a period of change and transformation. Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly management and financial reports Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis Support budgeting and forecasting activities Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., AASB/IFRS) Liaise with internal stakeholders and auditors Assist with process improvements and systems enhancements About You CA/CPA qualified or working towards Prior experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Proficient with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) Strong Excel skills and attention to detail Previous experience in the energy sector would be preferred Available to commence at short notice (preferred)
