About the Role
As a Senior Payroll Officer, you will support the Head of Payroll and Payroll Accountant across superannuation payments, portable LSL payments and claims, and required reporting arrangements.
What You'll Do
* Prepare and upload super files to the clearing house and organize the payment
* Check and re‐bank returned super
* Reconcile and process portable LSL levy payments and claims
* Process month‐end processing tasks
* Create new job, task, and positions as requested by the payroll operation team or finance team
* Prepare and run ad‐hoc reports as requested
What We're Looking For
* A friendly, customer‐focused approach with strong communication skills
* Proven experience in payroll across both blue‐ and white‐collar employees
* Sound understanding of awards, enterprise agreements, and payroll legislation
* Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‐paced environment
* Strong problem‐solving and analytical skills with confident decision‐making
* Experience using payroll systems such as CHRIS21/iCHRIS or similar systems
* Previous experience with payrun processing
* Intermediate to advanced skills with Excel (formulas, pivot tables and macros)
* Experience working with Kronos/UKG
