About The Role
We are looking for Youth Lead Practitioners to support adolescents and young adults aged 9‐25 as they navigate life with a disability, from adolescence through to early adulthood. As a Youth Lead Practitioner at Everyday Independence, No Two Days Will Be The Same.
Examples of what you might do:
* Lead the interdisciplinary youth team that plans a young person's NDIS funded therapy package, acting as the main contact for adolescent and young adult participants and their families
* Utilise assessment and intervention skills to support youth participants to achieve their educational, personal, social, and working life goals
* Work within the social model which means you'll have worked and delivered therapy in diverse settings, from homes and schools to playgrounds, workplaces and community centres
* Hold meaningful, future‐focused conversations with participants and their supports
* Empower participants and their families to develop habits and routines
* Build meaningful relationships with your participants and their supports (family, carers, friends)
* Document and bill for each session through our online participant management system
* Attend the weekly team meeting in the Hub, sharing stories of impact, coffee and laughs
* Meet with your Team Leader and Therapy Mentor to tap into their clinical knowledge and/or support

Qualifications
To work as a Youth Lead Practitioner, you will have a relevant tertiary qualification and registration.
* For Youth Workers: a Bachelor or Master's degree in Youth Work or Community Services and YWA membership
* For Social Workers: a Bachelor or Master's degree in Social Work and AASW membership
* For Specialist Educators: a Bachelor or Master's degree in Special Education and AASE membership
* For Registered Nurses: a Bachelor of Nursing and AHPRA registration
You Will Also Need
* Minimum 12 months experience working with youth aged 9‐25
* A positive and flexible approach to work
* Strong communication skills and be a team player
* Commitment to personal and professional growth
* Demonstrated experience working with people with a disability
* Willingness to work to billable targets
* A valid Australian driver's license
* NDIS Workers Screening Check
* Working with Children's Check
