About the company Nut Producers Australia is an almond and pistachio sales and marketing business with a charter to maximise returns to growers. The finance team provides services to four companies; NPA, the marketing and administration company based in Adelaide; Riverland Almonds, the almond processing company based in Loxton; Riverland Almonds Hulling, the almond hulling company based in Lindsay Point; and, Australian Pioneer Pistachio Co, the pistachio processing company based in Robinvale. NPA also carries on the business of product trading to add to the growth of the business. About the role This part-time role (3 days a week) will be based at Riverland Almonds, Loxton. It will see you as a key member of the Finance team, providing support to the Riverland businesses in the accounting and administrative functions, delivering accurate key financial data including cost analysis of production processes, and achieving financial reporting objectives for the business. A role with variety You will have a wide range of interesting and challenging work, including: Perform cost analysis and prepare reports for local management & head office on actual Vs standard costs Perform revenue analysis and develop scenarios to optimise outcomes Prepare the operational month end accruals and prepayments, to support the monthly management accounts & board reporting processes. Report on month end budget variations on operational revenue & costs. Prepare operational budgets and associated monthly reporting & forecasting Prepare PAYG, Fringe Benefits Tax & BAS returns for the Riverland based enterprises. Coordinate the financial justification on capital investment proposals as well as provide the financial data for Post Implementation reviews. Preparation of monthly reconciliations of all inter-company balances in line with company procedures Prepare the coding of expenses within the SAP Concur environment Provide financial/cost modelling to support Operations teams in commercial decision making and analysis. Regularly review standard costs and update accordingly. Ensure stock on hand reports are maintained and are accurate The person we seek. Degree qualified Accountant. (CA or CPA accreditation) minimum 8 years’ experience High level of proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office particularly Excel Previous experience in an agricultural environment would be an advantage along with experience with SAP Business One accounting system Ability to work independently and collaboratively within diverse multi-skilled teams Commercial acumen Sound verbal and written communication skills Build strong relationships across the finance & production teams.
