Make a real impact on Victoria's water markets.The Manager, Market Reform and Transparency is responsible for leading a program of work to ensure Victoria's water markets are functioning effectively and transparently.Current focus areas include monitoring and reviewing the effectiveness of Victoria's markets, ensuring transparency of water market data, improving access to trade opportunities, and clarifying trade rules in groundwater and unregulated surface water systems. This program supports Victoria's contribution to implementing the Commonwealth's Murray-Darling Basin Water Market Reform Roadmap.The role is part of the Compliance and Market Reform team and leads a small sub-team to deliver the market reform program.The ideal candidate is an effective collaborator and problem solver, capable of working with diverse stakeholders to develop solutions and integrate them into the work program for successful implementation.Specialist/Technical Expertise/QualificationsAn appropriate tertiary qualification in natural resource management, economics, science, engineering, or related fields is highly desirable.A good understanding of Victoria's water entitlement framework, water markets, and river operations is advantageous.Experience in stakeholder management within the water sector is highly desirable.This is a fixed-term position for 12 months.
