About the Role: Mytra’s Systems Engineering team is seeking a Robotics Lab Manager to oversee operations of our infrastructure and robotics fleet to support Hardware and Software engineering testing, systems validation, and demos. As manager of the Robotics lab, your role will be to ensure the reliable operation, safety, efficiency of Mytra’s internal robotic systems and fleet to ensure continuous support for product development activities and demos. You’ll manage daily lab operations: from upgrades to maintenance of the facilities, fleet, and test hardware/ software infrastructure, to coordinating test schedules, implementing safety protocols, and reporting on system health and uptime. You’ll be coordinating and prioritizing time for the engineering teams, hardware testing, software testing, customer needs, and leadership. You’ll thrive if you enjoy a hands-on, dynamic environment, and balancing technical problem-solving with operational execution. Responsibilities : Support R&D team in executing hardware and software validation testing by managing lab logistics and ensuring test readiness: charging bots, updating version-controlled software, table top testing bots to enter the structure, loading test payloads and pallets, etc. Support sales and business development teams by ensuring demo readiness for customer/ investors visits, and by executing demos Oversee day-to-day operations of Mytra’s internal robotic fleet and system test lab. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized lab environment suitable for heavy-loads and autonomous system testing. Maintain test system and robots: work with our in-house technicians to execute preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, reworks, and engineering change orders on bots and on structure Work with the software team to ensure proper tools are available to operate the structure and bots effectively Own the lab calendar and daily schedule, prioritizing and allocating test time and resources across teams efficiently Lead daily standups to coordinate teams when demand is high Ensure all testing and maintenance activities comply with safety procedures and standard operating practices Report fleet health, uptime metrics, and test readiness to engineering and leadership teams File, document, and track system issues through ticket-based tools (e.g., Jira, Linear) Qualifications: 5 years of hands-on experience managing labs, test facilities, or fleets of complex electro-mechanical systems Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software interfaces in large robotic systems Demonstrated experience enforcing safety protocols around high voltage, heavy loads, fall hazards, and warehouse equipment Proficiency with project management and issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Linear, Monday, Notion, etc.) Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams Comfortable working around industrial machinery and operating heavy equipment (e.g., forklifts, lifts, conveyors) Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience Proven experience maintaining uptime and scheduling testing for robotic or industrial automation systems A Final Note: You’re encouraged to apply even if you can’t take on every example project in its totality. The posted salary band is applicable only to the San Francisco Bay Area and is subject to change.
