Our firm is seeking a skilled Wills and Estates Solicitor to provide expert legal advice and assistance to clients on a wide range of matters related to wills, trusts, probate, succession, and estate planning.
Key Responsibilities
1. Drafting and reviewing wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents to ensure they align with legal requirements and the client's wishes.
2. Advising clients on complex estate and inheritance matters, including directing the client to speak with their accountant regarding any tax implications and attending to asset distribution.
3. Guiding clients through the probate or letters of administration process and assisting with the administration of deceased estates.
4. Conducting legal research and staying up-to-date with changes in wills and estates legislation.
5. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service.
6. Collaborating with other legal professionals, such as accountants and financial advisors, to provide holistic estate planning solutions.
Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree in Law and a current practicing certificate.
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in wills, estates, and trusts law, preferably in a law firm setting.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
5. Proven track record of providing high-quality legal advice and exceptional client service.
6. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
