About the Opportunity
The Technical Trade Trainer delivers and develops trade specific training to engineering apprentices. Bring your experience as a qualified fabricator with piping expertise to pass on your knowledge and skills to the next generation.
Responsibilities
* Delivery of approved training whilst always maintaining a safe work environment in accordance with the set training plan and in a timely manner.
* Develop training packages aligned with the requirements of ASC's on-site training plan following alignment from relevant Trade Managers.
* Regularly maintain accurate assessment and reporting documentation and highlight any areas of training & development concerns to the Trade Training Manager or delegate.
About you
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Relevant Trade Certification.
Ability to hold NV1 Security Clearance.
DESIRABALE QUALIFICATIONS:
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
Higher level relevant trade qualifications.
Tertiary qualifications in a training or RTO environment.
Experience within a heavy engineering/shipbuilding/ship repair industry.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 10 years' trade experience.
Commitment to work within WH&S regulations.
Good computer literacy (MSOffice) to manage technical report writing & documentation management.
Good communication and writing skills.
Ability to plan and deliver trade training packages to Apprentices and Tradespeople.
Develop and write training plans and documents.
Supervise training groups and individuals, including apprentices.
Draft apprentice reports.
Conduct workplace assessments and VOC's.
Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
