Position: Psychologist – Tasmanian Eating Disorder Service (TEDS)
Fixed-term, full-time, day worker, day shifts working 76 hours per fortnight for a period of twelve months. Hours to be negotiated with successful applicant.

Overview
Deliver evidence-based psychology services for eating disorders within a statewide multidisciplinary mental health team as part of the Tasmanian Eating Disorder Service (TEDS), a new specialist care service.
Team
TAS has a nationwide program delivering innovations in eating disorder treatment. TEDS provides integrated specialist care for adults and offers Community-Based Intensive Treatment (CBIT) programs in North, Northwest and South. Clinicians with an interest in eating disorders who are innovative and passionate about quality care are sought.
Responsibilities
* Provide high‐quality psychological services using evidence‐based and best‐practice principles in a collaborative multidisciplinary framework.
* Conduct evidence‐based psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions for people with an eating disorder and their families or carers.
* Prepare specialist psychological reports, give advice and training to other services and agencies.
* Encourage participation in TEDS Community‐Based Intensive Treatment and Residential Recovery Program for adults (16 years and older).
Requirements
* Demonstrated clinical and professional knowledge in the treatment of complex mental health disorders with adults and/or children and young people.
* Strong skills in contemporary psychological practice, including comprehensive evidence‐based assessments, therapeutic interventions and writing specialist reports.
* High level interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills with experience liaising effectively with other services and agencies.
Qualifications
* Essential: Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Psychology Board of Australia
* Essential: Registered with the Psychology Board of Australia
* Essential: Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration
* Desirable: Experience with eating disorders or other mental health conditions.
* Desirable: Endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist by the Psychology Board of Australia.
* Desirable: Credentialed Eating Disorder Practitioner.
* Desirable: Current driver's licence.
Appointment Details
Fixed‐term, full‐time, day worker. Working 76 hours per fortnight. Commences as soon as possible for twelve months. Hours negotiable.
Salary and Packaging
Annual salary: $117,272 – $126,182 (aligned with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2, 2022). Superannuation 12% provided.
Salary packaging includes living expenses up to $9,010 and meal entertainment up to $2,650 per FBT year. Personal upgrade scheme allows access to salaries beyond $123,487 based on qualifications and application.
Professional Development Allowance: up to $1,000 per annum.
