Your new role
This role plays a vital part in supporting the smooth day to day operation of a locally focused manufacturing and supply business delivering high quality aluminium window and door solutions. The Storeperson is primarily responsible for picking and packing orders, preparing jobs, managing incoming and outgoing deliveries, and ensuring materials are ready and available for workshop and site teams. As an all rounder, the role also provides hands on assistance in the workshop, including labouring duties and basic trade assistant tasks such as operating machinery when required and helping assemble components. By keeping workflows organised and materials moving efficiently, this position directly contributes to on time project delivery and strong client outcomes. The role works closely with production staff, installers, and supervisors, making reliability and teamwork essential. A forklift licence is strongly preferred, along with a full driver's licence, with an MR licence considered highly advantageous for supplier pickups and site deliveries.
What you'll need to succeed
* Proven experience as a storeperson, warehouse operator, or trade assistant
* Ability to pick, pack, and prepare jobs accurately to support workshop and site teams
* Willingness to perform hands on labouring and assist with basic workshop and assembly tasks
* Forklift licence with confident and safe operating ability
* Full Australian driver's licence with a strong preference for an MR licence
* Capability to deliver materials to sites and collect stock from suppliers as required
* Strong organisational skills to manage materials, stock flow, and job readiness
* Practical mechanical aptitude and confidence working around machinery
* Reliable, punctual, and committed to supporting team productivity
* Strong teamwork mindset with the ability to take direction and assist where needed
* Good communication skills to coordinate with workshop staff and supervisors
