Job Title: Senior Investigation Officer, Reportable Conduct- Clerk Grade 9/10
About the Role
The position of Senior Investigation Officer independently manages a high caseload of diverse and complex matters; supports the Directorate's management with day-to-day operations; supervises and mentors Investigation Officers; while delivering education/training activities.
We are seeking a motivated and resilient professional to:
* Provide timely, expert advice to Management on known and emerging trends and systemic issues, risk management, investigations, complaints, inquiries, and other operational matters.
* Prepare clear, well-written briefs and assessments, undertake detailed, accurate, and expert analyses relating to complex and high-risk matters and formulate appropriate recommendations for action.
Key Responsibilities
* Investigate complex and sensitive matters related to child protection and reportable conduct.
* Develop and implement effective strategies to mitigate risks and improve outcomes.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve successful case resolutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Demonstrated knowledge/skills in the NSW child protection system, the Reportable Conduct Scheme, and best investigative practice.
* Excellent verbal and written communication, planning, organizational, and negotiation skills.
* Tertiary qualifications in administrative law, government investigations, and/or other relevant discipline.
