Primary objective
Provide high level, proactive and timely advice and support of the agency's own procurement, contract management and
stakeholder engagement activities to support the delivery of major digital transformation programs.
Context statement
The Supply and Contracts team provides end-to-end commercial management of contracts related to business systems and major
digital transformation project and programs across the Digital Services portfolio in DCDD which encompasses procurement
activities, administration, contract management and renewals.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Provide leadership in the delivery of timely, client-focused commercial management services.
1. Continuously monitor and revise team workflows, procedures and record-keeping to seek efficiencies and maintain currency,
provided training, mentoring and guidance to others are required.
3. Manage and deliver agency's own procurement projects in medium to high value/risk procurements for program resources,
goods and services, including planning, Request for Tender/specification development and tender evaluations, negotiations and
award activities.
1. Provide commercial management consultancy and advisory services to program staff, ensuring good governance, consistency
with the procurement framework and agency policies.
1. Actively undertake commercial management including the preparation of contract management plans, tracking of deliverables
and contract obligations, resolve commercial escalations, undertake meetings, prepare written correspondence, reporting and
other related contract management activities.
1. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with key public and private sector stakeholders.
2. Actively participate and contribute to the broader team, undertaking other related duties as required by the Director.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Excellent working knowledge of commercial law and/or project management practices, procurement and contract management
processes.
2. Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a small team to manage, forecast and delegate workloads.
3. Well organised, able to multi-task with demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, effectively manage competing
priorities and remain agile in a deadline driven working environment.
4. Excellent oral communication and writing skills, with well-developed interpersonal skills, negotiation and conflict management
skills, prepare complex procurement documentation and reports and engage with team members and agency staff.
5. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills to enable effective consultation, networking and negotiation with a
range of internal and external stakeholders and ability to communicate complex concepts in a succinct and understandable way.

Desirable
1. Prior experience and/or qualifications in a relevant field such as law, business, contract management and/or procurement.
