The Opportunity
At Executive Risk Solutions (ERS), we're looking for skilled and experienced Medical Emergency Services Officers (MESO) to join our casual pool supporting the ERS site teams. These roles are FIFO from Perth, typically 2 weeks on, with a mix of days and nights with ongoing opportunities for the right candidate, working with a major mining operator in WA.
You'll be a vital presence on the ground - responding to incidents, running drills, and keeping people safe in some of the most dynamic and high-risk environments across Australia.
You will be responsible for delivering professional medical and emergency preparation and response to any emergency in the work environment, ensuring the safety and security of all personnel and property in the event of an emergency as well as developing and implementing emergency response plans, coordinating emergency response efforts, and providing training to employees on emergency procedures.
About You
* 3+ years of experience in medical emergency response or related field.
* Background in emergency management, fire services, defence or similar.
* Strong knowledge of emergency response protocols and procedures.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
* Strong organizational and planning skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with other emergency services agencies.
* Physically fit and ready for the demands of the job.
What you'll be doing
* Leading emergency response efforts with confidence and professionalism.
* Delivering regular training and running drills to ensure site-wide preparedness.
* Managing, maintaining and deploying emergency equipment when it's needed most.
* Coordinating closely with site management, stakeholders and external services.
* Conducting post-incident debriefs and improving protocols based on real insights.
* Supporting site safety by staying ahead of compliance, risk, and readiness.
Requirements
* Cert IV Healthcare (Ambulance) or higher
* RII30719 – Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue OR PUA30622 – Certificate III in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations) must include: Undertake confined space rescue (PUASAR025), Undertake vertical rescue (PUASAR032) and Road crash rescue (PUASAR024)
* PUAVEH001 – Drive Vehicle Under Operational Conditions
* HLTPAT005 – Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing
* Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver's Licence to operate site fire appliances
* HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid – needs to be current within 3 years
* HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) – needs to be current within 12 months
* Hold a National Police Clearance Certificate (current within 6 months of appointment)
