Description
Byron Shire Council has a permanent part-time opportunity for an experienced
Administration Officer
to join our Sustainable Development team, working a minimum of 21 hours per week. In this role, you will provide professional, customer-focused administrative support across local approval functions, including Planning, Building Approvals and Certification. Success in this role will require a high level of attention to detail, particularly when accessing and updating information within the NSW Planning Portal.

Some of your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

* Provide high-quality administrative support to the Sustainable Development team, technical officers, and other Council teams as required.
* Act as the first point of contact for incoming calls, responding to enquiries, redirecting calls, and accurately recording information.
* Coordinate appointments, inspections, correspondence, and telephone communications on behalf of technical officers.
* Deliver accurate, customer-focused information to internal and external stakeholders in line with Council policies and procedures.
* Access systems and registers, including the NSW Planning Portal, Council and Government registers, and local approval records.
* Prepare clear, professional documentation and contribute positively to a collaborative, team-based service delivery approach.

This Opportunity Offers

* A permanent part-time position (21 hours per week min).
* Salary and Conditions will be in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award with an appointment at a salary in the range of $1, $1,378.87 per week (dependent upon skills and experience)
