About us:
Infrastructure Asset Management (IAM) provides planning, construction, operation and maintenance of all Health Service physical facilities, engineering systems, plant and equipment to meet strategic objectives within a quality environment. IAM is staffed with professional, trade operational, and administrative staff. Trades include electrical, fitting, plumbing, carpentry, refrigeration, trade assistants and apprentices. The unit is accountable for facility maintenance and asset management in CHHHS and ensures all clinical and administrative buildings are compliant with statutory checks and inspections necessary to comply with Acts, Regulations, Codes of Practice and Australian Standards. IAM provides a 24-hour corrective maintenance and breakdown service for the facilities around Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service.
About you:
In your new role you will......
Fulfil the responsibilities of the Trade Co-ordinator through the effective management of in-house labour.
Organise day to day operations, work assignments and resource allocation for QH trades and contractors.
Co-ordinate the acquisition of necessary certificates of inspection in relation to building construction and maintenance work.
About your opportunity:
In this position you will.....
Undertake building construction and maintenance work and carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance.
Co-ordinate the acquisition of necessary certificates of inspection in relation to building construction and maintenance work.
Monitor and report on the work of contractors including whether they are meeting deadlines, specifications and standards.
