Job Description
We are seeking individuals with a professional background in Psychology or Rehabilitation Counselling to work in the Occupational Rehabilitation sector in Coffs Harbour NSW or Port Macquarie NSW. In this diverse role you will enjoy the flexibility and autonomy to manage your own day, supported by a strong, close team of driven and energetic healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
* Case management – manage a manageable caseload with support from Rehabilitation Assistants.
* Apply your clinical knowledge to improve return-to-work outcomes.
* Work with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs.
* Collaborate with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals.
* Work across various schemes such as workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer‐funded injury prevention programs.
* Assist those with an injury or health condition to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.
* Complete a variety of assessments, including initial, workplace and vocational assessments to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment and identify suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or motor vehicle accidents.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in Psychology or Rehabilitation Counselling.
* General or Provisional registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist or eligibility for Associate or Full membership with ASORC.
* Previous experience working in the Occupational Rehabilitation industry is highly regarded.
* Excellent communication skills – essential for working with clients and stakeholders.
* Compassion, empathy, kindness.
* Well‐developed time‐management skills.
* A current NSW Driver's License and access to your own car with comprehensive insurance.
