Job Title: Shift Fitter

About the Role:
The position of Shift Fitter is available at our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility. You will be part of a cross-functional team responsible for maintaining equipment in the Blast Furnace units, ensuring high standards are met to achieve quality and reliability objectives.
This shift-based role also involves providing maintenance support, working on a 12-hour rotating roster that may include days and nights, Monday to Sunday. Initially, you will work on the No.6 Blast Furnace unit until mid-2026; hours/shift may change after completion.

Responsibilities:
* Isolate equipment and perform maintenance and repairs
* Inspect quality-critical equipment and fault find
* Resolve issues and fix non-conformances
* Seek ways to continuously improve maintenance strategies
* Provide supply, stock and purchase requisitions, schedules, work orders, and parts listings via the computerised maintenance management system (SAP)

Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Mechanical trade qualification
* Experience within a maintenance function
* Experience working both independently and as part of a manufacturing team
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
* A commitment to personal safety and wellbeing and care for others
