About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Sales & Events Associate to support event sales and operations at The Goods Shed in Ballarat - a unique, multipurpose venue blending history, culture, and modern hospitality.
Working closely with the Sales Manager, you'll play a key role in driving event bookings and supporting the seamless planning and execution of weddings, corporate functions, and community events.
This part-time role (4 days per week, including Saturdays) is perfect for a hospitality or events professional with strong client-facing skills and a passion for delivering memorable experiences.
As the Sales & Events Associate, you will:
Assist with inbound event sales enquiries and client communication
Conduct site inspections and help convert leads into confirmed bookings
Support the coordination and execution of events across the venue
Liaise with internal departments, suppliers, and clients to ensure seamless delivery
Maintain accurate records, contracts, and event details in the CRM
Represent The Goods Shed with professionalism and enthusiasm during events and viewings
About You
You will have previous experience event sales, coordination, or hospitality operations. You'll also bring:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-first mindset
Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail
Availability to work Saturdays (with flexibility across the week)
A collaborative, can-do attitude and genuine interest in events
Previous experience with event software or CRM systems (preferred)
