Geopacific Resources Limited – Brisbane QLD

We are seeking a Principal Exploration Geologist to participate in all aspects of exploration programs, and support the Company's exploration and development strategy at the 1.7 Moz Au Woodlark gold development project in Papua New Guinea.

A large-scale drill campaign is currently underway with 3 rigs operating for resource infill, development/growth, and exploration drilling to upgrade known gold deposits and to test a multitude of new targets across the mining lease.

This work is being conducted concurrently with the DFS, which is due for completion in Q1'2026. Regional greenfield exploration is also active on the surrounding exploration licences.

Working as part of a dynamic team, you will be responsible for providing on-site geological expertise and support to ensure the safe and efficient execution of exploration programs including mapping, soil sampling, and drilling.

The successful candidate will have a passion for the science of geology and be driven to make new discoveries. The role requires a demonstrated commitment to safety, strong organisational and communication skills, and a motivation to further develop their career.

Experience in remote gold exploration and familiarity with Reverse Circulation and diamond drilling techniques are essential and the willingness and ability to work in a tropical environment with significant rainfall and moderate topography.

We are committed to your personal and professional development and are invested in ensuring you gain extensive experience within the industry.

This role is offered on a twelve‑month, full‑time basis with the potential for permanency. Whilst in the field, you will work a 3:2 roster (3 weeks on, 2 weeks off), or otherwise as negotiated, with flights back to your point of hire, or elsewhere as required. East Coast Australia is preferable.

An attractive salary package, including performance‑based incentives and other benefits, are on offer for this role.
