Experienced WHS Coordinators required for leading commercial contractor in the ACT.

**About Your Role**
The key part of this role is to support the WHSE Manager in meeting legal compliance, implementing safety management systems, builder requirements, daily checks and assessments and the follow up and closing of safety issues.
**Key components of this role include**
- Preparing pre-starts with information provided by the Foreman and Site Manager and all applicable paperwork
- Planning for upcoming works in conjunction with the site management team
- Documenting, reporting and archiving of daily, weekly and monthly paperwork to ensure accuracy for audit purposes
- Assessment and providing recommendation for rectification of on-site safety issues affecting staff
- Daily reporting of site safety issues to the WHSE Manager
- Daily site inspection
- Conducting SWMS observations with the Site Manager
- Arranging work permits and issuing safety improvement notices
- Risk assessments
- Implementing and ensuring compliance of company and principal contractor policies and procedures
- All associated administration work
**About You**
We are looking for someone who can show initiative and is passionate about safety in a construction environment. You should enjoy being on-site where you do your best work. Along with this you will also have the following skills / and experience
- Previous experience in a Health & Safety position within a construction environment
- On-site experience, ideally with Tier 1 builders and sites
- Cert IV in WHS as a minimum
- A solid understanding of OH&S regulations
- Excellent communication and administration skills
- A passion for implementing and delivering change for continuous improvement
- Microsoft Office proficient
