About the opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity available for a Learning and Capability Consultant to join the Organisational Development team.
The Learning and Capability Consultant will manage the development and delivery of effective learning and development programs and organisational development initiatives to ensure that all capabilities meet the expectations of the local and University Strategies.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
* develops, documents, and promotes the strategic direction of learning and development opportunities within the University that will equip staff to achieve business objectives
* works collaboratively with OD Operations to ensure records are captured and the LMS is used effectively, at all times being cognizant of budget constraints and return on investment
* develops and delivers portfolio capability development priorities in consultation with HR Partners, supported by high-quality external vendors
* proactively engages with local areas to ensure that new initiatives are complemented by an appropriate training and delivery solution
* implements evaluations and reporting solutions to quantify positive impacts of delivered training and to identify opportunities for the improvement of learning and development initiatives.
About you
* postgraduate qualifications - in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of training and experience
* demonstrated experience in initiating, planning and managing staff development programs
* experience in the application of training needs analysis frameworks, with the ability to identify, or design, programs to address skill gaps, introducing innovative practices for delivery and evaluation
* previous experience in providing expert advice, training and support to staff to enable them to develop eLearning courses and resources
* demonstrated high level project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects, to prioritise and to meet timelines in a complex environment characterised by competing demands
* extensive interpersonal, communication, facilitation and consultation skills, with the ability to liaise and negotiate with all levels of stakeholders to achieve outcomes
* experience in working with a range of systems and software e.g. Learning Management Systems, eLearning authoring software (Captivate or Articulate Storyline), website content management systems, multimedia technology.
