About the Role

* You will work with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to deliver high-quality pharmacy services to patients and customers.
In the hospital dispensary, you will be responsible for delivering a consistently high level of pharmacy service, including:

* Receiving requests for medication supply from all areas
* Assembling and delivering dispensed medications
* Monitoring and maintaining stock levels in the pharmacy and clinical area imprest sites
* Cold chain management of refrigerated and frozen medications
* Answering phone calls from internal and external customers and patients
* Providing customer-focused service
There may also be the opportunity to undertake training in our on-site production facility which compounds various medications.
Community and Outpatient Team

* Supplying medications to specialty clinics: You'll assist in supplying medications for our outpatient clinics, including those catering to cystic fibrosis, dialysis, and eye clinic patients.
* Liaising with Mater Mothers Hospital Patients: Supporting their maternity needs, including managing breast pump hire services.
* Assisting with our Community Vaccination Clinic: Our clinic services the public for National Immunisation Program vaccinations, as well as pre-commencement and booster vaccinations for hospital staff, nurses, and doctors.
* Managing Dose Administration Aids: Ensuring patients receive medications accurately and on time by organising dose administration aids.
* Collaborating with Health Professionals: You'll have the opportunity to work directly with health professionals, who rely on our pharmacy for personal medication needs.
About You

* To be considered, you must:
• Be studying Pharmacy in 2025
1. Have a professional attitude, effective communication skills, and attention to detail
2. Be willing to work evenings (from 5.00pm) on weeknights
3. Be willing to work full days (between 7.00am and 6.00pm) on weekends and public holidays
4. Be willing to work in a roster with other Pharmacy Students
5. The ability to work shifts at Mater South Brisbane and Mater Springfield is highly desirable
