Senior Accountant Vacancy - Tax Compliance Focus
Up to $140k + Super + Bonus | Based near Sydney Airport | 4 Days in Office
An exciting opportunity has arisen with a large, fast-growing organisation (approx. $800m revenue) seeking a well-rounded Senior Accountant (with a Tax compliance focus to the role). This is a broad role combining 50% tax compliance with 50% BAU reporting, offering exposure across a complex, international environment.
The Opportunity
You'll join a high-performing finance team and take ownership of key tax deliverables (predominantly around tax compliance) while supporting month-end, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives. This role suits someone looking for a step up in responsibility, autonomy, and exposure across the wider finance function.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage corporate tax and indirect tax compliance obligations
* Prepare tax returns, BAS, PAYG, FBT and assist with tax advisory matters
* Support month-end accounting, journals, reconciliations and reporting
* Assist with budgeting, forecasting and process improvements
* Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy of financial data
* Support external audit and internal control requirements
About You
* CA/CPA qualified (or close to completion)
* Strong grounding in tax compliance (either from chartered or industry)
* Solid financial accounting experience and strong attention to detail
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, complex environment
* Confident communicator who enjoys collaborating across the business
