**The Role**
The Administration Officer will report to the Australia, Canada, United Kingdom Reprogramming Lab (ACURL) Sustainment Manager within Air Combat Systems Program Office (ACSPO), & will provide direct administrative & business support to the ACURL Sustainment team.
Duties include:
- Coordinating administrative & business support activities for the ACURL Sustainment team, identifying risks & determining appropriate courses of action to meet stakeholder needs, including support to planning & governance functions.
- Accountable for performing complex procedural, operational, administrative & business support activities & tasks that support the delivery of outcomes for ACURL, including development & maintenance of sustainment planning & administrative processes with agreed procedures and performance standards.
- Management of schedule, risk, budget & resources, preparation of briefings, submissions, reports & returns relating to the business area progress & issues in accordance with organisational requirements.
- Engaging & negotiating with stakeholders on complex issues.
- Working collaboratively, building & sustaining effective relationships with internal & external stakeholders including; F-35 Joint Program Office & Cooperative Program Personnel, ACURL personnel & F-35 Phase 2A/B project personnel.
- Taking initiative to progress work to meet business objectives, provide advice & guidance on more complex issues.
- Resolving problems using expertise, taking the initiative to identify alternative courses of action.
This role provides vital support to the ACURL Sustainment Manager in relation to the sustainment & governance of the ACURL capability as well as with the transition of ACURL Phase 2 projects into service.
The need to be flexible, adaptable, innovative, driven to succeed & confident in your abilities to work autonomously is critical to your success in this position.
Your willingness to support & assist the ACURL Sustainment Manager & other team members with tasks & activities outside your expertise, along with the ability to solve complex problems, are also professional attributes you must possess to be successful at integrating into the high performing team of ACSPO.
Local, regional & international stakeholder engagement is a core aspect of the role. As such you must be adept at communicating effectively & with influence, to work collaboratively with stakeholders on complex & sensitive sustainment matters.
**About our Team**
ACSPO organisationally sits in the Aerospace Systems Combat Branch, under Aerospace Systems Division in CASG, within the Department of Defence. ACSPO is the aviation asset management in-service support agency for the Australian F-35A Lightning II Air System. ACSPO engages with local, regional and international enterprise partners and suppliers of the F-35 Global Program; consisting of both foreign governments and industry, to provide sustainment support for the Capability Manager, the Royal Australian Air Force.
ACSPO is based at RAAF Williamtown in NSW, and supports the Australian F-35A fleet. The F35A aircraft are based at RAAF Williamtown and RAAF Tindal in the Northern Territory.
The primary focus for ACSPO is governing across the Australian F-35A Air Combat Capability. This includes the ongoing management, execution and continuous improvement of the various governance frameworks, processes and procedures in order to provide leading aviation asset management
- Have a sound understanding of the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) Project Governance Framework or be able to quickly acquire such understanding;
- Have sound experience in sustainment and governance administration; in order to effectively support ACURL Sustainment requirements;
- Be able to develop effective briefings, submissions, reports and associated correspondence;
- Have familiarity in driving innovation and continuous improvement of processes. We are also looking for someone with initiative, strong organisational skills, is task focused, and has the ability to respond appropriately to pressures and changing priorities; and
