Senior Server Engineer

The role involves providing specialist technical expertise, leading troubleshooting activities, and contributing to architectural design and documentation. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, system owners, and external vendors to ensure consistent service delivery and adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, implement, and maintain Windows Server and Active Directory environments.
* Implement and manage VMware virtualisation infrastructure aligned with VMware best practices.
* Install, customise, and maintain Windows Server operating systems and server hardware.
* Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues collaboratively with internal teams, clients, vendors, and external service providers.
* Produce and maintain technical documentation, including architecture, as-built, and configuration documentation.
Our ideal candidate is a highly skilled and experienced professional who has strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Windows Server and Active Directory administration following Microsoft guidelines. A demonstrated ability to perform Active Directory migrations in high-availability environments and implement and manage VMware virtualisation environments are essential requirements for this role.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Windows Server and Active Directory administration following Microsoft guidelines.
* Demonstrated experience performing Active Directory migrations in high-availability environments.
* Demonstrated experience implementing and managing VMware virtualisation environments (ESXi, vCentre).
* High attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing.
* Ability to operate in accordance with organisational safety, environmental, and quality frameworks.
Desirable qualifications include an understanding of ITIL frameworks and service management principles and familiarity with Operational Technology (OT) environments and constraints.
