**About the role**
As an Accounts Officer, your focus will be to maintain and control the bank account ensuring that all receipts have been processed correctly, all outflows have been documented according to policy and have appropriate approvals/authorisation. You will also be responsible for manual payments and ensuring expense reimbursements are processed accurately, and payments are made in an accurate and timely manner.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- Being responsible for cash management from inflows to outflows and reconciling items
- Serving as the main point of contact for various areas of the business relating to accounts-related queries
- Processing cash receipting /matching on a weekly basis, and resolving unallocated cash
- Reconciling supporting documentation (dockets, work orders) for major accounts including American Express, other credit cards, Cab charge, Grace Document management, Telstra, Office Max, CTM
- Keying journals for authorization
- Providing backup to the finance team in relation to other tasks
- Supporting the team and Corporate Controller to complete month end by assisting in core month end processing functions
- Undertaking timely and accurate bank reconciliations and completing daily bank processing and payments in accordance with payment cut offs
- Credit card coding to the general ledger and payment
**We're looking for**:
- Excellent computer, communication and time management
- Ability to work autonomously
- Sound knowledge of computer accounting packages
- Experience in a client service role
