About the work unit
The Drug and Alcohol Brief Intervention Team (DABIT) is part of the Consultation Liaison Psychiatry and Addictions Service within the Mental Health Service Group. DABIT provides specialist alcohol and other drug (AOD) interventions to patients presenting to the Emergency Department, offering triage, screening, brief interventions, and referrals to ongoing care.

Remuneration is $ $ per fortnight (Nurse Grade 6 Band 1).

About your opportunity
This is a Fixed Term Temporary full-time position from 30 October 2025 to 13 September 2026, with the possibility of a 12-month extension.
Requirements
Bachelor of Nursing and current AHPRA registration.
Experience in AOD or acute mental health settings.
Vaccination requirements as per Queensland Health policy.
Possession of a Class C driver's licence.
Eligibility for Authorised Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) status desirable.
