About the Role
We are seeking expressions of interest for a Chef Manager role at our Malmsbury site. This is a hands‐on leadership role offering genuine work‐life balance. You will oversee daily kitchen operations, deliver high‐quality meals, and ensure a safe, structured environment. In addition to leading your team and maintaining high standards in a busy kitchen, you will mentor young people in training and work‐experience programs, supporting their growth in a positive workplace.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor, and motivate the kitchen team to deliver consistent, high‐quality outcomes.
* Prepare, present, and deliver fresh meals at scale in a high‐volume environment.
* Manage special dietary requirements.
* Oversee daily kitchen operations: food preparation, service, delivery, dishwashing, and cleaning.
* Maintain strict food safety and compliance standards.
* Deliver efficient, professional service within a secure and structured environment.
Desired Skills and Experience
* Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
* Food Safety Supervisor Certificate preferred (or willing to obtain upon commencement).
* Experience leading teams in high‐volume catering, healthcare, corrections, or similar environments.
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Ability to work confidently within a regulated setting.
* Current Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle.
