At Udder Delights we’re passionate about creating award-winning cheeses and delivering them with care from our Adelaide Hills home to customers across Australia and beyond. We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to join our team, to drive sales and work with our customers and key internal stakeholders.

About the Role

This is a key role where you are responsible for driving sales nationwide through multiple channels, including major retail, independent supermarkets and food service.

The Sales Manager will work closely with the General Manager and other members of the Management team, and will have a core focus in Sales, Customer Relations, Communication, Business Development and Financial Reporting.

The Sales Manager will have a flexible working environment at the Lobethal-based office – with interstate travel required each month.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan, develop & implement strategies to achieve sales targets and business growth.

* Implement sales plans and work closely with the UDA executive team to assist in the implementation of new product development and marketing plans

* Travel interstate to meet with key customers, creating and implementing business plans to achieve mutually agreed sales budgets

* Provide timely and effective communication to our customer base, acting as a medium between customers and the internal operations of the business.

* Establish new customers and new channels with the objective of profitable growth, providing market intelligence and regular updates on competitor activity back to the business.

* Measure the performance and success of distributors/customers and address performance issues where required, while closely managing trade spend within budgeted parameters.

About You

We need someone who has a proven ‘business to business’ sales track record, ideally within the food industry – someone skilled with both people and numbers, effective at both talking and action. You will bring:

* FMCG experience in a sales management capacity, with a proven track record of developing strong relationships with customers.

* Experience with managing key Retail accounts is strongly preferred.

* Well-developed commercial acumen and negotiation skills.

* Excellent organisational and problem-solving ability.

* High proficiency in using Microsoft Office and other job-related software.
