Pay Rate - $25 - $ 28 Per Hour
About The Role
As a Catering Assistant you will make a difference each and every day in providing healthy, hearty and delicious meals prepared by our Chef. Reporting to the Home Manager, you will support the Chef/ Chef Manager and your team to deliver a high quality catering service to our residents. This is a permanent position with shifts across a fortnightly roster.
Key Responsibilities
* Support service delivery under the direction of the Chef/Cook
* Prepare daily meals and beverages that meet individual needs of each resident including special dietary requirements, allergies and culturally specific as instructed by the Chef or Cook.
* Work with Care team to plate and deliver meals, ensuring familiarity with menus and the needs and preferences of individual residents within the home
* Complete cleaning tasks in accordance with the cleaning schedule, filling in appropriate sign off sheets
* Document resident's requirements and any "exceptional" changes which occurs for the resident on shift
About You
* Demonstrated experience in food preparation and food safety
* Food Handling Certificate (HLTFSE001 - Follow Basic Food Safety Practices) - Desirable
* Effective interpersonal communication; both written and verbal
* Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads
* Commitment to continuous quality improvement
* Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control
* Ability to operate standard domestic and industrial equipment
* Availability to work AM & PM shifts
