Assistant Project Officer Building Operations, Office of the Executive Director Grade : Clerk Grade 5/6 Employment Type: Ongoing Location: Sydney - This role requires a minimum of three days per week in the office, based primarily at Haymarket with occasional attendance at Parramatta Square. An opportunity has arisen within Building Commission NSW, Office of the Executive Director & Assistant Building Commissioner for an experienced Assistant Project Officer. Reporting to the Project Officer, the Assistant Project Officer will support project delivery by assisting with tasks, maintaining documentation and tracking progress against plans and milestones. It also involves stakeholder communication, basic research and providing administrative support to the team. Key responsibilities Assist the project team to complete tasks and implement project plans to high quality and deadlines Update and collate documentation and records regarding relevant issues, policies and practices to ensure the delivery of projects complies with agreed project management methodology Provide project and operational support, including monitoring and reporting on project plans, milestones, and deliverables Undertake basic research and analysis in assigned project areas and contribute to the preparation of project briefs to support informed decision making and planning Communicate with relevant stakeholders to provide updates regarding project status and implementation issues Provide a range of secretariat and administrative services, including coordinating committee meetings and preparing papers to support project management delivery Key challenges Delivering multiple project support activities in line with agreed standards and objectives, given tight deadlines and competing demands and priorities Key attributes Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Experience managing emails, enquiries or shared inboxes Experience assisting with reporting and working with data, or a willingness to learn.
