The Role
MSF Sugar is seeking a skilled and self-motivated Sugar Boiler Operator to join our operations on a permanent full-time basis at the South Johnstone Mill, located just 15 minutes from Innisfail.
Reporting to the shift supervisor you will be a responsible for achieving optimum sugar recovery and quality through the crystallisation processes. Overseeing safe and efficient operations involved with the panstage, to achieve targets set by the production manager.

Key Responsibilities
* Operate and monitor Pan Stage Operations, ensuring efficient crystallisation of both high and low-grade sugar.
* Operate plant at a production rate appropriate to avoid stock build up.
* Achieve targets in regards to crystal size, purity and exhaustion of products.
* Perform troubleshooting and maintenance duties to keep processes running smoothly.
What We’re Looking For
* A current driver's licence is a mandatory requirement
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well in a team
* Basic computer skills to operate computer-based control systems
* Ability to train other personnel
* Hold additional tickets such as Forklift (Code LF), Confined Space, Rigging, Dogger, Scaffolding (advantageous but not essential)
* Previous experience in the sugar industry (advantageous but not essential)
* Previous experience with operating plant or part of process (advantageous but not essential)
