**About the role**
The Officer City Communications works within our business partnering team and plays a key part in delivering a unified communications approach aligned with a specific division and Council portfolio. Working within an integrated team, this role provides communications support and understands the delivery across a cross-functional team including media, internal communications and digital.

- Crafting and executing communication plans that support Council projects and priorities
- Providing clear, timely, and strategic communications advice across diverse channels and audience groups
- Collaborating within a high-performing branch to ensure consistent messaging and excellence in delivery

**What your experience might look like**:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in media, communications, public relations or a related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated strength in written and verbal communication, with the ability to craft a broad range of communication tools across both traditional and digital platforms often under tight deadlines.
- Proven success in a similar communications role, with experience leading proactive and reactive initiatives in a complex environment involving multiple stakeholders.
- Resilience and adaptability in navigating complex scenarios, managing competing deadlines and cultivating positive working relationships.
