THE ROLE: This role is rostered across Sunday to Thursday with varying shift times. By applying, you're confirming your availability to work across these days. As an Assistant Store Manager, your mission is to lead with a customer-first mindset, deliver great in-store experiences and inspire your team to achieve this every day.
You will partner with your Store Manager to inspire your team to deliver excellence in every customer interaction. You will drive the team with passion and purpose, coaching them to cultivate high performance. You will assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of your store, manage the team to achieve financial budgets and targets, and ensure visual merchandising excellence. In the absence of the Store Manager, you are the first point of contact for your team, ensuring our customers receive great in-store service that meets the high standards of JD Sports.
Responsibilities
* Lead with a customer-first mindset and coach the team to create exceptional customer experiences that build loyalty to the brand and store.
* Drive store performance to meet financial budgets and targets, analyse data to identify opportunities and mitigate risks in sales, inventory, and operations.
* Prioritise retail operations, time, tasks, and processes to maximise return on investment.
* Create a positive, motivating store environment; recruit, develop, and recognise talent; provide coaching and feedback to enable success.
* In the absence of the Store Manager, act as the first point of contact for the team and ensure high standards of in-store service.
