In this exciting opportunity, you will provide high-quality direct nursing care in our purpose-built aged care facility, Sheoak Lodge.

As a registered nurse, you’ll have the chance to enhance your skill set and grow in a supportive environment.

You’ll be responsible for delivering exceptional care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and mentoring staff at various stages of their careers.

ABOUT THE ROLE

- Provide professional high-quality direct nursing care within the Millicent and Districts Hospital and Health Service - Sheoak Aged Care Lodge.
- Opportunities to extend and expand your scope of practice in a vibrant rural setting.
- Bring and grow in your skill set by providing support and guidance to a broad range of nursing staff and care workers, from the novice to experienced staff, supported by a team of Nurse Educators.

ABOUT YOU

- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse or Nurse/Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate.
- Effective communication skills, including problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and prioritise workloads.
- Creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within a healthcare setting

ABOUT US

Millicent and District Hospital and Health Service is part of the Limestone Coast Local Health Network and employs over 140 staff across the site to provide the community with access to acute and aged care services which includes but is not limited to:

- Inpatient admissions including paediatric, medical, step down and mental health.
- Outpatient care including infusion and transfusion services
- Surgical services-including day surgery and overnight as required.

Surgical specialities offered include general surgery, orthopaedics, endoscopy and gastroscopy, oral and maxillofacial, breast and endocrine, dental and minor procedures.
- A 24-hour, seven day a week Accident and Emergency Department.
- 60 bed residential aged care facility co-located
- Domiciliary midwife program
- Co-located Community Health Service

The Limestone Coast Local Health Network employs over 1500 staff and provides a wide range of health care services across the Limestone Coast region, covering a large geographical area which consists of the Upper and Lower South East, and extends all the way to the Victorian border.
