AV currently has an exciting opportunity for experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join our People & Culture Division. Providing critical Health & Safety advice and support to the Barwon South-West & Grampians operational regions and complex care, which includes Air Ambulance, Adult Retrieval & Victorian Stroke Telemedicine, this vacancy is a 12-month fixed term, full time based in Belmont or Ballarat. This position has a working from home hybrid arrangement available to be negotiated with the successful applicant, taking into consideration the requirement to travel to support client groups.
**About the role**
Reporting to the Senior People Partner, the Health & Safety Advisor is a service driver who uses expert knowledge and experience to align people and business strategies to achieve Health and Safety imperatives.
The responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to:
- Contributes to the analysis, review and development of a risk profile, hazard, incident and injury data by identifying local priority areas, evaluating opportunities and making recommendations for sound and practical improvement,
- Drives results through the provision of Health & Safety support expertise, service practices and advice,
- Provides on-the-job education and training to managers, colleagues and staff in AV's health and safety suite of programs, systems and practices.
**About you**
To be considered for this role you will possess:
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent (Desirable)
- Extensive knowledge, skills and experience in the implementation, maintenance and review of safety management systems (AS/NZS 4801:2001, SafetyMap or equivalent) and safety audits
- Experience in the use of computerised programs in particular Word, Excel and Access
- A current Victorian Driver's Licence and the willingness to travel as required.
